The new health and safety legislation became affective 04 April 2016
A new entity has been created called a PCBU - Person Conducting a Business or Undertaking.
This gives the government a far wider scope for targeting more businesses and associated organisations, including: schools – sports clubs – trusts etc.
Every PCBU must have health and safety systems and procedures that meet the requirements of the new Health and Safety at Work Act
INCLUDING: all workers of their obligations and responsibilities
Ensures management and staff contribute equally to the process of making the workplace safe.
Have in place all systems and procedures to eliminate hazards/risks in their workplace.
